MEDICINE
AS IT ShOULD BE
direct care podiatry
Being a direct care podiatry practice means we do not allow insurance companies to interfere with patient care. We often see patients that have insurance but we are out of network which means all fees are paid directly by the patient.
Eliminating insurance allows us to concentrate on the doctor-patient relationship. Patients have direct access to the doctor, the doctor can be seen within 24 hours, there are no wait times in the office, patients can spend up to an hour with the doctor and there will never be a surprise bill. Direct care medicine respects the patient’s needs and time. This is medicine as it should be.

FAQs

Working with insurance companies requires huge overhead forcing physicians to see too many patients. The result is patients having to wait a month or more to see their doctor, long wait times in the office and spending only 4 to 7 minutes on average with the doctor. On top of that, patients receive surprise bills and often end up paying much more! Eliminating insurance means the patients get the care they need without the stress and financial burden.
-
We respect your time and your needs. There are no waits to see the doctor. You will have time to explain your situation and you will be heard. The doctor will have time to explain your diagnosis and your treatment plan in terms you will understand. We will come to your home or your business if you’re too busy to travel. No hurry, no stress.
Additionally, the cost tends to be less, especially for those in high deductible and high out-of-pocket plans. Without the need to bill insurance, you will likely save thousands by seeing a direct care physician.

When a patient does not show up to an appointment, the doctor loses the time she could have spent helping another patient. Credit card information is collected upon booking to cover the cost of the no-show fee when a patient doesn’t call to cancel an appointment with 24 hours notice. The patient’s card will be charged $50 if they do not show up for a house call. The patient’s card will be charged $25 if they do not show up to an in-office appointment. These fees are only charged when a patient does not show up to an appointment and does not call to cancel their appointment 24 hours ahead of time.
