MEDICINE
AS IT ShOULD BE

direct care podiatry

Being a direct care podiatry practice means we do not allow insurance companies to interfere with patient care. We often see patients that have insurance but we are out of network which means all fees are paid directly by the patient.

Eliminating insurance allows us to concentrate on the doctor-patient relationship. Patients have direct access to the doctor, the doctor can be seen within 24 hours, there are no wait times in the office, patients can spend up to an hour with the doctor and there will never be a surprise bill. Direct care medicine respects the patient’s needs and time. This is medicine as it should be.

Regenerative Medicine

Regenerative medicine is an evolving area of medicine focused on supporting the body's natural healing processes.

Rather than simply addressing symptoms, regenerative therapies are being studied for their potential role in supporting tissue repair and recovery in certain musculoskeletal conditions.

Although research continues to develop, regenerative medicine is not appropriate for every patient or every condition. During your consultation, Dr. Shannon Carmignani will review your diagnosis, discuss available treatment options, and determine whether regenerative therapies may be appropriate for your individual situation.

Dr. Shannon Mcavoy carmignani, dpm

Podiatrist and owner of Renew Foot & Ankle Wellness Center in Summerville, South Carolina, Dr. Carmignani specializes in noninvasive and minimally invasive treatment of the foot and ankle to help patients avoid the operating room.

Dr. Carmignani completed her 3 year surgical residency at University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH after graduating from medical school at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. Prior to medical school, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in molecular biology from Stetson University in DeLand, FL, where she graduated cum laude.
